The Steev field lives on your Garmin's own Run screen. It shows today's session, walks you through it step by step, and sends the finished run to your coach through Garmin Connect on your phone — iPhone or Android, no Steev app needed. You need a Steev account.
1. Install the field
Get Steev from the Connect IQ Store, in the Connect IQ app on your phone or on the web. The store listing shows which watches it supports.
2. Add it to your Run screen
On the watch, open the Run activity's settings and put the field on a data screen. Menu names differ between watches; the path is roughly Run ▸ Settings ▸ Data Screens ▸ a screen ▸ a field ▸ Connect IQ ▸ Steev. A screen with fewer fields gives it more room.
3. Pair it
Open the Run activity — no need to start recording — and go to the screen with the Steev field. It shows a short code and, when the field has room, steev.run/pair. Keep that screen up and type the code into the Garmin watch card:
- on the web, in Settings;
- in the iPhone app, in your Profile.
A code lasts 10 minutes; after that the watch shows a fresh one. Once paired, the field says so. If you left its screen, open it again to finish.
When your run arrives
Save the run as usual. The field sends it to Steev through Garmin Connect on your phone. If it hasn't arrived, open the Run screen again: the field sends anything still waiting. A run that can't get through waits on the watch and goes later — never twice.
The field sends time, distance, laps, heart rate, cadence, power, elevation and calories — never your GPS track — and only to Steev.
Guided sessions
When today's session is written out in Steev, the field shows how many steps are ready before you start. During the run it walks you through them — the step you're on, what's left of it and the pace to hold — and buzzes at each change. If it says Open it in Steev first, open today's session in the app or on the web so your coach writes it out, then check the watch again.
Unpair
Use Unpair on the same Garmin watch card. Runs already synced stay.
