The North Face VECTIV Enduris 4

The North Face's everyday trail trainer — a plated, rockered shoe for regular trail miles and long days out.

The VECTIV Enduris 4 is The North Face's everyday trail shoe, the model the rest of its trail line is built around. A propulsion plate sits inside a nitrogen-injected TPU midsole on a rockered 32 mm platform, with deep lugs underneath — enough structure for uneven ground, enough foam for a long day.

It suits you if you run trails most weeks and want one shoe covering everything from an easy hour to a long day. Forefoot wings widen the base where trails tip you sideways, which keeps a rockered shoe from feeling nervous.

It is not a mountain-racing shoe. The plate is a stiff polymer rather than carbon, and the ride is stable rather than aggressive. It is not a road shoe either: the lugs that make it sure-footed on dirt wear quickly on pavement, so this is the pair you change into at the trailhead.
