Best for
Summit VECTIV Sky 2 is the lightest trail-racing shoe in The North Face's VECTIV line. A full-length VECTIV 3.0 carbon-fiber propulsion plate works with a DREAM nitrogen-TPU midsole, with rockered geometry, a 25 mm stack and a 6 mm drop. The heel fit also improves on the first Sky.
It suits you for trail races and fast training on runnable ground, where the plate and the low stack let you move quickly. At 238 g it is built for speed days rather than all-day exploring.
It is not a comfortable all-day shoe. A 25 mm stack protects less than a trail trainer, and the plate wants pace, so slow, technical days will feel harsh. Save it for race and workout days.
