Best for
Ride TR3 takes the cushioning of Saucony's Ride road shoe off the pavement. A full-length PWRRUN+ midsole gives a light, springy feel at an 8 mm drop, a PWRTRAC outsole with lugs brings the traction, and a high-tenacity mesh upper is tough enough for trail. Saucony calls it the ruggedized sibling, made for a runner who refuses to stick to one surface.
It suits you if a single run might cross pavement, a canal path and a stretch of packed dirt, and you want one cushioned shoe for easy miles that does not mind the change. Non-technical trail is its home.
It is not a technical-terrain shoe. Steep, rocky or muddy ground wants a more aggressive design, and the waterproof GTX version is a separate shoe.
