Best for
The Guide TR is brand new, and it takes the plush, stable platform of the Guide to the path less traveled. A broad base of PWRRUN foam gives it max cushioning, the PWRTRAC outsole supplies durable traction, and the upper is rugged. Saucony calls it a road-to-trail shoe for running and walking.
It suits you for long trail runs and mixed routes that start on pavement, when you want a lot of cushion and a stable base under you.
It is not a technical or fast trail shoe, and it is not a light one. The broad, cushioned platform is made for comfort and stability, so it gives up agility on rugged ground.
