The Endorphin Azura takes the foam out of Saucony's race shoes and leaves the plate behind. PWRRUN PB sits under a 40 mm heel with an 8 mm drop, and the rockered shape rolls you forward without anything rigid dictating your stride. At around 240 g it feels quicker than a normal trainer while still being one.
It suits you if most of your running is easy but you want it to feel lively, and if you would rather own one shoe that handles a steady effort or a short race than two that split the job.
It is not a super-shoe and it is not a max-cushion cruiser. There is no plate to lean on when the pace really drops, and the soft foam gives less underfoot support than a firmer daily trainer.
