Best for
The Echelon 11 is the update to Saucony's dedicated stability shoe, built around a solid base and a locked-in fit. It brings more PWRRUN cushioning and a redesigned heel for structure, on an accommodating straight-lasted platform with a no-gusset tongue, at an 8 mm drop. It is orthotic-friendly, and wide and extra-wide versions exist.
It suits you if you need a reliable, structured feel for daily miles, easy runs and long runs, or if you use orthotics or need extra room.
It is not a light or fast shoe, and it is not a neutral trainer. The structure that keeps you steady also makes it a poor choice for tempo work.
