The Velocity Nitro 3 is PUMA's plain daily trainer. NITROFOAM under an engineered mesh upper, a TPU heel spoiler for a bit of stability, no plate, and a 10 mm drop. PUMA calls the cushioning medium, which is fair: it is neither firm nor soft enough to have an opinion about.
It suits you as the shoe you stop thinking about. Easy days, steady days and the long run all sit comfortably in it, and it will take an occasional faster stretch without complaint.
It is not a workout shoe and it is not light. At 275 g you will feel it if you try to race in it, and there is nothing underfoot pushing you along. Buy it to absorb volume.
