The Cloudeclipse is the softest road shoe On makes. Two layers of CloudTec Phase stack up into a tall Helion midsole, with a Speedboard in there for control rather than propulsion, and a 6 mm drop. It is built for cruising: long runs, recovery days, and the weeks where your legs need the road to feel further away.
It suits you if you land heavily, or if you are adding volume and want the mileage to cost less. At 285 g it is a substantial shoe, and it feels planted rather than lively.
It is not a shoe for pace. Soft and tall is the opposite of quick, and the Cloudeclipse gives nothing back when you push. Pair it with something sharper for the hard days.
