Best for
The Kjerag 02 is NNormal's second pass at its fast trail shoe, and it changes the parts that touch you while leaving the grip alone. The EExpure midsole, a TPE-based foam, brings more response, more stack and more rocker, and the single-layer Matryx Jacquard upper is lighter and more comfortable. The Vibram Megagrip and Litebase outsole carries over, so at a 6 mm drop and about 214 g you get a quicker shoe on the same bite.
It suits you if you run fast on trails and want to feel the ground: tempo efforts, short races, days when responsiveness matters more than a soft ride.
It is not a plush or protective shoe. The firm feel trades comfort on long, rough descents for speed, and there is little cushion to fall back on once you tire.
