The Kjerag is the shoe NNormal launched with, built around a simple idea: a race shoe that lasts. A Matryx upper, a Vibram Litebase outsole with 3.5 mm lugs and a 6 mm drop over EExpure foam, with a resoling programme behind it rather than a replacement cycle.
It suits you if you race or train on technical mountain ground and want the shoe to hold its shape well past one season. At 200 g in a UK 8 it is among the lightest trail shoes carrying grip this aggressive.
It is not a cushioned shoe for long, flat miles, and the fit is narrow and precise rather than forgiving. NNormal has since put the Kjerag 02 alongside it, so this one is on its way out.
