The Pegasus Plus 2 is the fast Pegasus: superlight ZoomX foam with an exposed, curved Air Zoom unit under the forefoot, which is the visible change from the first Plus and where the extra pop comes from. A streamlined mesh upper with a midfoot band holds it together at about 265 g in a men's US 10, on the family's usual 10 mm drop.
It suits you if you like the Pegasus fit but want the everyday-to-uptempo end covered by one shoe — the brand's own pitch is race-day feel for ordinary runs, and that is honest as long as you read "feel", not "speed".
It is not a super-shoe. There is no plate, and ZoomX gives up its bounce sooner than a daily trainer's firmer foam, so treat the mileage accordingly. Nike prints no stack height, here or anywhere.
