The 880 is the plain one. Fresh Foam X top to bottom, a 6 mm drop, and a build meant to survive months of ordinary running rather than impress you on the first outing. It weighs about the same as the 1080v14 and shares its drop, so the difference between them is the ride rather than the numbers.
It suits you if one pair does everything and you would rather it lasted than felt clever. Nothing about it asks for a decision: it lands, it rolls, it gets you home.
It is not fast. At just under 300 g you feel every gram in a session, and there is no plate or rocker to hide behind. Buy it for volume, and keep something lighter for the days that matter.
