The Neo Zen is the Mizuno trainer with no Wave in it at all, and the 2 sits on a tall heel of nitrogen-infused ENERZY NXT with a Smooth Speed Assist rocker and a knit upper. At 250 g it is light for that much foam, which is what lets one pair cover both an easy hour and the day you decide halfway through to push the pace.
It suits you if you want one soft, bouncy pair for most of your week — easy hours, the long run, and the occasional stretch at tempo — and you would rather feel the ground working than sit on top of a plate.
It is not a stability shoe and it is not a racer. Nothing is holding the foot from the inside, and with no plate the push comes from the foam and the rocker rather than from anything stiff underneath.
