Best for
Mizuno built the Neo Accera as its max-cushion trail shoe: a tall 41 mm stack and an 8 mm drop over a rock plate that protects the foot from sharp objects, rocks and roots, with a Vibram Megagrip outsole below. The plate is there for protection, not propulsion, and the height is there to keep your legs fresh in the later hours.
It suits you if you run long, rocky trails and want protection first. Ultras and long outings are the target.
It is not a fast trail racer, and it is not a close-to-the-ground shoe for technical scrambling. The max cushion and the protective plate add height and bulk, so you give up precise feel for comfort and safety.
