Best for
The Hyperwarp Pure is Mizuno's ultralight road racer, and at $300 you pay for every gram it leaves out. A PEBA midsole sits over what Mizuno calls the Smooth Speed Plate, a full carbon plate, and the whole thing comes in at 140 g. The cushioning is balanced rather than plush, so the plate and foam do the pushing.
It suits you if you chase times in road races from the shortest up to the half marathon and are already fast enough to want every gram gone.
It is not an everyday trainer, and it is not a forgiving shoe for easy miles. A full carbon plate and an ultralight build trade comfort and durability for race-day speed.
