The Agility Peak 6 is Merrell's cushioned trail shoe with better stability, and FlexConnect grooves now extended across the full midsole. FloatPro foam builds a 38 mm stack at an 8 mm drop, a forefoot rock plate shields you from erratic ground, and a Vibram Megagrip outsole does the gripping. It is a fair 285 g to carry for hours.
It suits you if your long days are on rugged trail, ultras included, and you want protection and stability more than lightness.
It is not a quick, close-to-the-ground trail racer, and it is not for smooth paths where its grip and protection are wasted. The cushion and rock plate add bulk, and you pay for that in agility.
