Best for
The Prodigio 2 sits in the middle of La Sportiva's trail family, between the high-cushion Prodigio Max and the race-ready Prodigio Pro, and it improves on the original where it counts: lighter, more breathable and steadier on technical ground. XFlow nitrogen supercritical foam sits under a recycled AirMesh upper with a PU-coated FlowFilm, and the shoe has a 6 mm drop at 265 g.
It suits you if you want one shoe for daily training, tempo days and long trail runs, without a cushioned pair and a racing pair in the cupboard.
It is not the shoe for the deepest ultra-distance protection, which is the Max's job, and it is not the sharpest racer. Living in the middle of the range means giving up something at both ends.
