It suits you if your off-road days are measured in hours and the ground under them keeps changing — long trail runs and ultras, where grip and protection matter more than turnover. If you want something lighter for an hour on hard-packed trail, the Trailfly V2 is the shoe in this range that does it.
It is not a quick shoe. At 320 g it is one of the heaviest things inov-8 makes for the trail, the lugs are too deep to enjoy on tarmac and wear down fast there, and nothing about the ride rewards a short, sharp effort.
