The Nordlite Speed is Craft's carbon-plated road racer, and it prefers stable to extreme. A split-toe Ultra Carbon Plate follows the foot's natural movement, Cr Foam sits underneath and a single-layer engineered mesh covers the foot. With a 40 mm stack and a 6 mm drop, Craft calls the ride responsive and stable enough to help you hold form.
It suits racing anything from a short event to a marathon, and the stable feel means it doubles for tempo runs, where holding form matters more than flat-out pace.
It is not a light racer. At about 266 g it is no featherweight, and the carbon plate is wasted on easy days, where a plainer trainer feels better.
