The GT-2000 is the lighter of ASICS' two support trainers, and the 14 keeps that brief. You get a midsole shaped to resist the foot rolling inward, but in a shoe that weighs 273 g rather than the Kayano's 300, so it still moves when you want to pick things up.
It suits runners who want mild support without losing pace, and runners stepping down from a heavier stability shoe.
It is not a max-cushion shoe. There is less foam under you than in a Kayano or a Nimbus, so a very long run on hard pavement will feel firmer. The support is mild too - if you need serious correction, this is not enough shoe.
