Best for
The Torin ST is Altra's answer for runners who want stability without giving up a flat platform. GuideRail adds gentle medial guidance to the classic EGO MAX foam, on a 28 mm stack with zero drop, and at 294 g it is a solid shoe. Altra pitches it straight at Paradigm fans.
It suits runners who want mild support for daily runs, easy miles and walking, and who like zero drop but need a little help keeping the foot centred. The ride is plush and comfortable underfoot.
It is not a strict motion-control shoe. The guidance is gentle, the foam is soft and the build is weighty, so it belongs on steady miles rather than tempo sessions or racing, and it will not be quick.
