The Prima is the soft end of the Supernova family: a full Dreamstrike+ midsole with support rods, an 8 mm drop, and enough foam underneath that the road stops registering.
It suits recovery days and the slow miles that make up most of a training week, and it is a good fit if you finish easy runs with sore feet rather than tired lungs.
It is not a shoe you race in, and at roughly 289 g it is not one you do a workout in either. There is no plate and nothing springy in the ride — the whole point is that it takes the sting out of a run rather than adding anything to it. Pair it with something quick.
